DYNAMIC DUO
SIGHT UNSEEN is the brainchild of director-producer Steve Parkhurst and writer-producer Oriana Schwindt. This husband-and-wife team had worked independently on a number of different projects (TV pilots, shorts, and web series), but decided to combine their powers to bring their first feature to the big screen.
A LABOR OF LOVE
Steve and Oriana had their first date in August of 2019 and immediately bonded over their desire to make movies and TV. Oriana secured a development deal at Warner Bros. TV, and Steve produced shows for Facebook, but their dream was to bring a feature film to the big screen. They wanted to tell a horror story that got to the heart of millennial existence: On both a personal and global scale, our inheritance is cursed.
A couple years later, they had an idea: Instead of having a big, fancy wedding, or putting a down payment on a house, what if they put that money towards making a movie? Thus was born SIGHT UNSEEN, a true labor of love from two people who love making movies.
